Arne Jacobsen – Egg Chair

Among many other classic pieces of modern design, Arne Jacobsen designed the Egg chair in 1958 for the Copenhagen Royal Hotel’s reception. Every single furniture element of the hotel was made by him.

Time ago I went to this hotel to see his work. It was funny, when I told the reception’s guy that I made 13,000 kms to see the Arne’s work his face was like ‘dude, i couldn’t care me less’ – Their Cesar’s salad is fantastic tho.

Arne Jacobsen was an industrial designer and architect born in Copenhague.
